1.Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Isma ("we," "us") collects through the Isma app and ismaquran.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies wherever you use Isma — iOS, Android, or web.

2.Information We Collect

• Account information: the email address and password you sign up with. Passwords are handled entirely by our authentication provider and are never visible to us in plain text.
• Profile information: the display name you choose.
• Learning progress: completed lessons, quiz and challenge scores, XP, and streak data, so your progress can follow you across devices.

We do not collect your location, contacts, camera, or microphone data. Isma has no ads and no third-party analytics or advertising trackers — nothing here is used to track you across other apps or websites.

3.How We Use It

We use your information only to create and maintain your account, sync and restore your learning progress across your devices, respond when you contact support, and understand in aggregate which lessons are helping people learn. We do not build advertising profiles from your data, and we do not sell it to anyone.

4.Third-Party Services

Isma uses Supabase to host our database and manage sign-in. Supabase processes your account and progress data strictly on our behalf, under its own security practices — see the Supabase Privacy Policy. We do not use any other third-party data processors.

5.Data Security

Your account's data is isolated at the database level with row-level security, so only your signed-in account can read or write it — not other users, and not us through the app itself. All data in transit is encrypted over HTTPS.

6.Your Rights & Choices

You can update your display name at any time from Profile settings in the app. To access, export, or permanently delete your account and all associated data, email Muhammedali@ismaquran.com from the address on your account — we'll confirm your request within 30 days.

7.Children's Privacy

Isma is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8.Data Retention

We retain your account and progress data for as long as your account remains active, or until you request deletion under Section 6.

9.Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and notify you within the app.

1.Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Isma, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2.The Service

Isma is an educational tool to help you learn to read, recite, and understand the Quran. It is intended as a learning aid and memorization companion, not a substitute for qualified Islamic scholarship — for religious rulings or guidance, please consult a qualified local scholar or teacher.

3.Accounts

You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your password secure. Each account is for one person; please don't share your login.

4.Free & Premium Features

Al-Fatiha is free, permanently. Additional chapters may require a premium upgrade in the future; no paid purchase flow is active as of this writing. If and when premium purchases launch, pricing and terms will be posted here and shown in the app before you're charged anything.

5.Acceptable Use

Please don't reverse engineer or scrape the app, redistribute its audio or written content, or otherwise use Isma in a way that could disrupt the service for others.

6.Intellectual Property

The Quranic text itself belongs to no one. Isma's translations, explanatory notes, app design, and software are owned by us or properly licensed, and may not be copied or redistributed without permission.

7.Disclaimer of Warranties

Isma is provided "as is." We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8.Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Isma is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

9.Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using Isma, and request deletion of your account, at any time — see our Privacy Policy.

10.Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of jurisdiction to be confirmed, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11.Changes to These Terms

If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and notify you within the app.
